Dr. Mark H. Pluskota D.O.

DOYLESTOWN – Dr. Mark H. Pluskota D.O., age 68, passed away on January 4, 2022.

Mark was born on February 11, 1953 in Corry, PA to the late Henry and Rita (Gregory) Pluskota.  He was a resident of Doylestown, OH for the past 33 years.  Mark completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and went on to obtain his master’s degree at Duquesne University.  He then graduated from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983.  He went on to practice medicine at Austin Family Practice for over 30 years and was the medical director at Manor Care in Barberton, OH.  A member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown, he loved woodworking, fishing, spending time with his dogs, and was an avid beekeeper.  A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he loved spending time with his wife snorkeling and using his metal detector on the beaches of the Cayman Islands.  Mark truly enjoyed being a physician, spending time and creating relationships with his patients.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kelle; children, Ryan (Joann) Pluskota of Wadsworth, OH; Matthew Pluskota of Clinton, OH; Dr. Christopher Pluskota of Cleveland, OH; Allison Pluskota and her husband Kasey Starr of Akron, OH; Dominick Pluskota of Doylestown, OH; grandchildren, Reese, Avery, Gavin, and Spencer; brother, Jim Pluskota of NY; sisters, Nancy (Mark) Watts of Erie, PA; Patricia (Allen) Loomis of Harrisburg, PA; Sally (Ed) Burns of Ashtabula, OH; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. David McCarthy, Celebrant.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Calling hours, with facial coverings encouraged, will be on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cleveland Chapter, 8001 Sweet Valley Drive, Suite 3, Valley View, OH, 44125.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
