DALTON – Edna J. Drew, age 96, passed away on January 28, 2024.
Born in Orrville, OH to the late Lester and Rebecca J. (Berg) Poorman, she was a life resident of Dalton and a 1945 graduate of Dalton High School. She retired from First National Bank in Dalton after 27 years of service as a teller. A member of Dalton Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed taking walks around town.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Frosty” in 1977; great granddaughter, Kendall Turley; brother, Dale Poorman; sisters, Anna Mae Kiger, Hazel Blacksten, Gladys Rowan, and Mary Ellen Ketler. She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Cheryl) Drew of Dalton, Ned (Millie) Drew of Apex, NC; granddaughters, Kirsten Drew, Jennifer Turley, Erin (Brice) Colbert; great grandchildren, Coleston, Laiken, Reagan, Elinor, Annabelle; sister, Emma Ruth “Toody” Rossiter of Dalton, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Dalton Presbyterian Church, 163 W. Main St., Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Sally Fusek, officiating. Burial will be at Dalton Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, OH, 44618 and one hour prior to service time at the church.
