Edward S. Hubiak Sr.

DOYLESTOWN – Edward S. Hubiak Sr., age 83, passed away on October 31, 2022.

Born on February 5, 1939 in Barberton, OH to the late Ignatius and Irene (Chuhi) Hubiak, he had been a lifelong resident of Doylestown. Ed retired from General Motors after 28 years of service.  A member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and the United Auto Workers (UAW), he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating as a member of the South Shore Cruising Club. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Chelsea.

Ed is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lola; son, Edward Hubiak Jr.; daughter, Terri (John) Neely; grandchildren, John Neely III, Jessica (fiancé, Zach Erne) Neely, Jordan (fiancé, Andy Erne) Neely; sister, Elaine (John) Close, all of Doylestown; brother, Richard “Tim” (Sandra) Hubiak of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, officiating.  Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230.
