Elizabeth Ann Ritchey, age 80, Doylestown, OH. Mom finally won her long, courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at home and is now celebrating eternal victory. Witnessing her positive attitude and fearless faith to the very end was truly an inspiration to behold. Psalms 23:4.
She was a lifelong devout catholic and member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Betty was born on November, 19, 1941 to the late Sylvester and Harriet Rambacher. After graduating from St. Vincent - St. Mary High School, she attended college at Kent State University earning a B.A. degree in Education. She went on to teach at Copley Schools until she met the love of her life and devoted husband of 51 years, Larry. She left her career to start a family and raise five children. Once her children were older, her love of teaching was rekindled as a substitute teacher at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. A voracious reader, she finally retired from the Wayne County Public Library. Spending time with and watching her grandchildren grow the last twenty years brought her love and happiness beyond words.
