Ella ""Ellie" B. Finley

LAKEMORE, OH – Ella Belle “Ellie” Finley, age 89, passed away on May 21, 2025.

Born on November 24, 1935 in Salem, OH to the late Harold T. “Ted” and Inez (Patrick) Fullerton, she was a resident of Lakemore, OH for 5 years, previously of Doylestown.  Ellie was a graduate of Wooster High School and then attended St. Lukes Nursing School where she received her RN.  She had worked at Barberton Citizens Hospital and then Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, as an emergency room nurse.  She had also been in oncology and served as head night nurse at Wadsworth Rittman prior to her retirement.  Ellie and her beloved husband Tom had shared in the operation of a farm on which they lived for 43 years.  They raised and boarded horses, raised chickens and also in that time had taken in and helped over 20 at risk youths.  She was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Doylestown.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dale Fullerton; brother-in-law, Robert Kinkoph DDS.  She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thomas; children, Robin (Robert) Arnold of Stow, OH, Thomas Jr. (MaryBeth) Finley of Hudson, OH, Patrick (Gina) Finley of Chagrin Falls, OH; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Kinkoph of Deerfield, OH; other family and friends.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Emanuel United Church of Christ, 16 Eastern Rd., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Gaye Santoro, officiating.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
