Faye L. Cochran

AKRON – Faye L. Cochran, age 89, passed away on April 30, 2023.

Born on July 31, 1933 to the late Virgie Bennett in Calhoun County, WV, Faye had been a resident of the Akron area for 30+ years, previously of Barberton. She worked as a nanny for many years and loved listening to country music.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her son, Robert Cochran; friend and companion, Gerry Cockerham. Faye is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Thomas) Rutledge of Doylestown; grandson, Robert (Annabelle) McClung; granddaughter, Alyssa Axelrod; other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Brad Bates officiating. Burial to take place at Hillside Memorial Park. Calling hours will be from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
