DOYLESTOWN – Gerald G. Banacki, age 78, passed away on November 17, 2022.
Born on August 2, 1944 in Barberton, OH to the late William and Bertha (Bandur) Banacki, he was a resident of Doylestown for over 40 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Navy, Gerald was a rubber worker his entire life, having worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber and various other shops. A member of the First Hungarian Benefit Society in Barberton, the Barberton Moose Lodge #759, and the Doylestown American Legion Post #407, he loved to collect music in all forms (vinyl, CD, tape) and found great enjoyment in classic cars and trains.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude Kmet, and brother, Victor Vincent Banacki Sr. He is survived by 2 nieces, 6 nephews, other family and friends.
A private service with military honors will be held by the family with inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
