DOYLESTOWN – Gerold K. “Jerry” Lindeman, age 87, passed away on May 18, 2026.
He was born on May 11, 1939 in Barberton, OH to the late Raymond and Maxine (Bradley) Lindeman and was a life-long resident of Doylestown. A graduate of Doylestown High School, he went on to attend Kent State University and then graduated from the University of Akron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and after a career with East Ohio Gas, he retired in 1995.
Jerry was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, Doylestown American Legion Post #407, and Nordonia Hills Rotary. His passion was volunteering where he spent many hours with Habitat for Humanity, the Doylestown Community Food Cupboard, Appalachian Service Project, the Salvation Army, and the Canton Share a Christmas with the Canton Salvation Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tony (Judy) Lindeman; brother-in-law, Lee Musgrave, sister-in-law, Drema Lindeman. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marlene; sons, K. Scott (Sam) Lindeman of Doylestown, A. Todd (Lisa) Lindeman of New Franklin; grandchildren, Max Lindeman (fiancée, Abby Booth), Monty Lindeman; brothers, Don Lindeman of Doylestown, Terry (Nancy) Lindeman of Doylestown, Bill (Barbara) Lindeman of Oregon, OH; sister, Mid Musgrave of Doylestown; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 22, 2026 at 12 p.m. at the Doylestown United Methodist Church, 153 Church St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastors Carolyn Berry and Carl Dulin co-officiating. Burial will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
