DOYLESTOWN – Gerry D. Fraley, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2023.
Born on August 18, 1957 in Wadsworth, OH, he was a resident of Doylestown for the past 19 years, previously of Youngstown and Texas. Gerry was a graduate of Chippewa High School and then went on to obtain a Bible Degree from the Dallas Bible College, a Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Bible College, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Amberton University. Gerry retired from 3M in Medina and was currently a member and staff counselor for Crossroads Community Church. An avid Cleveland Browns backer, he was a true Brown at heart. He dedicated his life to God and loved spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
Preceded in death by his father, Homer Fraley Jr., he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Trent Porter of Xenia, OH; mother, Charolette Fraley of Doylestown; sisters, Debbie (Tim) Finley of Barberton, Anita Berenyi (fiancé Nathaniel Dresp) of Akron; other family and many friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 700 Gates St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Jerry Butcher, officiating. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then again from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
