Gladys M Manning

DOYLESTOWN – Gladys M. Manning, age 94, passed away on July 4, 2021.

Born on October 21, 1926 in Rittman, OH to the late Albert and Matilda (Poete) Goffinet, she was a life resident of Doylestown.  Gladys retired from Chippewa Local Schools after 20 years of service and was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society.  She loved gardening, dancing with her husband, playing cards and listening to music.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank “Dick” Manning; sons, Dan and Jay Manning; 3 brothers and 3 sisters, she is survived by her children, Becky (Mike) Durbin of  West Palm Beach, FL, Ted (Delores) of Groveport, OH, Tim of Smithville, Mike (Jill) of Louisville, KY, Mary (John) Potter of Barberton, Rick of Gray, TN, Matt (Jackie) of Doylestown; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; daughter in-law, Colleen Manning of Doylestown, OH; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Pleasant View Health Care Center for their loving and compassionate care of Gladys.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Fr. Tom Acker, Celebrant.  Inurnment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School, 169 W. Clinton Rd., Doylestown, OH 44230 or to Chippewa Local Schools Excellence for Education, 56 N.
