Gregory "Greg" L. McKee

DOYLESTOWN – Gregory L. McKee, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home on November 25, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Born on April 29, 1953 in Barberton, OH to the late Verner B. and June (Barlow) McKee, he was a lifelong resident of Doylestown.  A graduate of the Wayne County Vocational Career Center, Greg was a self-employed carpenter by trade and owner of McKee Company.  Later in life, he enjoyed his employment at the Loyal Oak Golf Club.  A member of Zion Lutheran Church, he also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #407 in Doylestown, where he had served as an officer, the Rittman Moose Lodge #860, and the Barberton Liedertafel.  Greg enjoyed being outdoors while golfing and fishing with his friends and after returning home he loved to relax with his dog, Carbry and cat, Ivan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Patrick V. and Kevin B. McKee.  He is survived by his loving friend and companion of 20 years, Jill Genet; daughter, Mya Wyckoff; nieces, Shannon, Brandy, Tara, and Kristen; sister-in-law, Monica McKee; Jill’s children, Clark (Amanda) Genet and their children, Luca and Charlene, Chelsea Genet, her mother, Mary Anderson, and siblings Shelly (Randy) Corbin, and Tim (Carol) Clark; other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230, with Clark Genet, officiating.  Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, a childhood cancer prevention organization of your choice, or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
