Gregory "Greg" M. O'Connor

NORTON – Gregory M. “Greg” O’Connor, age 79, passed away on December 21, 2025.

Born on January 7, 1946 in Barberton, OH to the late Milton and Norma (Wolff) O’Connor, he was a long time resident of Wadsworth, previously of Norton.  Greg was self employed for many years, retiring from the manufacturing industry. A member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Greg enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, and being with family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his second wife, Michele; brothers, Jim, Patrick, and Bobbie.  Surviving him are his children, Karli (Phil) Thomas of Norton, Shannon (Shawn) Reese of TN, Josh O’Connor of Norton, OH; step daughters, Angie (Jim) Elliott of GA, Dawn Simmons of Akron; grandchildren, Doris, Sophia, and Benjamin; brother, Mick (Judy) O’Connor of Akron; other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. James Maloney, officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time.
