Haley Korom Obituary

NEW FRANKLIN - Haley Marie Korom, 41, closed her eyes and entered Heaven November 20, 2021.

She was a beautiful person with a warm heart and tender soul despite her disabilities. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially being with family and friends. She loved watching TV and having sole control of the remote. Haley watched game shows and cooking programs all while mastering the keyboard on her tablet. Her favorite activity was Saturday movie night with her family and enjoying popcorn. She loved camping with her family, in particular sitting around the campfire until late at night. She liked staying in hotels, eating in restaurants, all day shopping trips with her mom and aunt, fried chicken and her dad's fish fry’s. She could never get enough of her uncle's arm tickles, even in church, or her cousin's singing to her. Haley liked to tease her stepfather Bill, greeting him with "Hello Bill" multiple times when he got home from work. She loved him for his selfless and loving care.

Her best friend was her loving brother, Justin, who always treated her with tenderness and patience. Haley was lovingly proud of her two nephews, Camden and Jaxon Korom, who kept her amused and made her laugh. But above all, it was her mother Karen's constant love and care that gave her an amazing quality of life. No mother-daughter bond could have been stronger. To her family, Haley's passing leaves a tremendous hole in their hearts, but the memories she leaves with us cannot be diminished by death. We thank God for allowing us to be a part of her life.

Haley is survived by her loving mother and stepfather, Karen and Bill Tavernaris; father and stepmother, Randy and Terry Korom; brother, Justin; grandmother, Doris Korom; nephews, Camden and Jaxon Korom, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sarah and Bert Porr, George and Ann Tavernaris and grandfather, Richard Korom.

"Dearest Haley, we love you 'all the above'. When we meet again, we will take a long walk together."
