Harvey M. Fisher

DALTON – Harvey M. Fisher, age 84, passed away on December 31, 2022.

Born on February 27, 1938 in Statts Mill, WV to the late William Hiram and Clara G. (Fields) Fisher, he was a resident of Dalton since 1969, previously of Massillon and North Lawrence.  A veteran of the Cuban Crisis serving with the U.S. Army Reserve, Harvey retired from LTV Steel (formerly Republic Steel) in Massillon and was a member of the United Steel Workers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Jones; granddaughter, Kathryn Jones; brothers, John “Henry”, Philbert, Ross, Eugene, Ira, and Stanley Fisher; sisters, Ermalie Fields, and Martha Ann Fisher; sisters-in-law Lillian “Sis” Fisher, Arizona Fisher, Sue Litton, Mae Fisher, Loretta Fisher; brothers-in-law, William Smith, Harvey Barker, Eldon Litton, and Erwin “Doc” Litton.  Harvey is survived by his wife of 63 years, N. Eileen; daughter, Darla (Bruce) Fahrni of Dalton; son, William (Wendy) Fisher of North Lawrence; grandchildren, Casey (Stacy) Jones, Cory (Stephanie) Barnes, Elana Fahrni, Kortney Fisher, Kaitlyn Butler; great grandchildren, Alex and Charlotte Jones, Serenity Barnes, Jaiden Barnes, Grayson Sims, Jenson Snyder; step grandchildren, Bryan Fahrni, Ashley McDaniel; step great grandchildren, Nick and Tyler Fahrni, Joseph Wines, Kaya McDaniels, sister, Rosalie Barker; brothers, Douglas Fisher, Jim (Jenny) Fisher; brother-in-law, Larry Fields; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Phil) Fisher, Lillian Fisher, Viola Litton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Dalton Cemetery with Pastor Dave Greegor, officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren  Funeral Home, 29 E.
