Hazel I. Jenkins

LONDON, OH – Hazel I. Jenkins, age 101, passed away on May 19, 2021.

Born in Barberton, OH, on September 25, 1919 to the late J. Frank and Ida (Zveinden) Zook, she was a resident of London, OH since 2014, previously of Doylestown.  A 1936 graduate of Barberton Central High School, she had worked at Pat Catan’s and had helped her husband years ago as co-owner of Lyles Farm Shop.  A member of the London Moose Lodge #2696, Doylestown Lions Club and Friends of Our Lady of the Elms, Hazel loved to gamble at the casinos and play bingo at the senior center.  She also enjoyed crocheting (potholders and hand towels) that she then sold at various craft shows.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lyle M. in 1978; granddaughter, Alesha Hartle; brother, Delmer Zook; she is survived by her son, Randy (Donna) Jenkins of Columbus, OH; grandson, Nathan (Alice) Jenkins of London, OH; great grandchildren, Kaleigh Hartle, Zoie Brashear, Oscar (Makayla) Brashear.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at which time a private burial will take place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
