Helen V. Armour

Helen Armour began her heavenly journey on August 18, 2022.  Helen lived most of her 80 years in the greater Akron, OH area and enjoyed the last ten years in Longs, SC.  Helen will be most remembered for her gracious hospitality and warm, caring heart. She loved spending time cooking, gardening, traveling, entertaining, and animals.  Helen dedicated her life to her children and provided a role model for them to become strong, independent, and loving adults.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Robert Armour; daughters, Kathy Kitchen, Karen Kennedy (David); granddaughters, Rachel Kennedy Micallef (Erik), Austin Rigg (Jake); her siblings, Polly McCoy, Becky Ziegler, Nat Watson, Darrell Watson; many nieces and nephews.  She holds a motherly love for Glyda Meredith. Her parents, Wesley and Rella Watson; brothers, Joe and John, and first husband, John Morgan predeceased Helen.

A celebration of life will be held at Lee Funeral Home, Little River, SC on Monday, August 22, 2022.  Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm with funeral service immediately following.

A celebration of life will also be held at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, OH on Friday, August 26, 2022.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am with funeral service immediately following.  Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown, OH.
