NORTON – Born March 24, 1935 in Jackson, OH to the late Ralph and Mildred Rice, she passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2023 with her daughter Tonya and granddaughters, GeAnna and Gabrelle by her side.
Helen had been a lifelong resident of the Barberton and Norton area, retiring from Gardner Pie Co. in 2001 she had also worked for Yoder Brothers in the greenhouses. She had been an Avon consultant for many years, achieving the Presidents Club yearly. A past member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Helen loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and hanging out with her friends at McDonalds.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Miller; son, Richard “Dickie” Miller Jr.; siblings, Bob (Nancy) Rice, Rev. Norman (Marcena) Rice, Patricia (Robert) Miller; infant sister, Gladys; and sons-in-law, Donald Boggs and David Newell.
Mom will be forever missed and loved by her daughters, Tonya (Mark) Undercoffer, Diana Boggs, and Joyce Newell; her “pride and joys” grandchildren, Gregory (Michelle) Reed, GeAnna Kitchen, Gabrelle (Derrek) Undercoffer, Daniel (Deanna) Boggs, Brian Boggs, Zachary Newell, and Scott Kitchen; and great-grandchildren, Ayden, Mason, Micaela, Charlee, Gregory, and Raven; other family and friends.

I love you Momma. It was an honor to be your daughter and care giver. I hope I made you proud. Give Daddy and Dickie a hug and kiss for me…until we meet again.
Funeral Service will be Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Deacon Dale Youngblood officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will take place at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summa Hospice.
