DOYLESTOWN – Janet K. Paridon, age 75, passed away on November 24, 2022.
Born on March 7, 1947 in Barberton to the late Floyd and Agnes (Weinsheimer) Breitenstine, she was a 1965 graduate of Norton High School and resident of Doylestown for 56 years. Janet’s career in banking spanned 25 years in Doylestown as the bank went from Great Northern Savings, First Merit, Chippewa Valley, National City Bank, and finally to PNC. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and also the Doylestown American Legion Post 407 Ladies Auxiliary, Chippewa Twp. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Janet enjoyed reading, her outdoor flowers and mums, and playing UNO with the family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda (Lloyd) Burgess, Donna (Holly) Matheny; brother-in-law, Robert Gainer. She is survived by husband of 56 years, David; daughters, Kimberly Paridon of Wadsworth, Nancy Rettkowski of Munroe Falls, OH; grandson, and light of her life, Spencer Rettkowski; sister, Edna Gainer of Barberton; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law from the Paridon family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, Celebrant. Inurnment to take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
