Janet A Wheeler

DOYLESTOWN – Janet A. Wheeler, age 85, passed away on December 29, 2022.

Born on March 29, 1937 in Doylestown, OH to the late George and Ethel (Homan) Paridon, she was a life resident of Doylestown.  Janet retired from First Merit Bank and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Barberton Area YMCA.  She loved to play euchre and listen to polkas.

Janet is survived by daughter, Kathy Taylor (Norm “Chip” McGirr) of Massillon; grandchildren, Kyle (fianceé, Lexus), Marisa, Logan, Shane (Raisa), Travis, Jessie, Jeremy (Charity); brother, Dave Paridon of Doylestown; sisters, Eileen (Bill) Morgan of Doylestown, Carol Gawthrop of Wadsworth; sisters-in-law, Velda Paridon, and Janet Paridon; God daughter, Megan Hudak; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude; granddaughter, Mattison; brothers, Ralph (Nora), Regis, Don, Robert (Gayle), and William (Nellie) Paridon; sisters, Doris (Don) Stockwell, Marie A. “Toni” (Kenny) Saeger; sister-in-law, Janet Paridon; brother-in-law, Russ Gawthrop.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, Celebrant. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Calling hours will be on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St. Doylestown, OH 44230.
