Jesse E. Goudy

ORRVILLE – Jesse E. Goudy, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2019.

Born on October 18, 1959 in Orrville to the late Ellsworth and Mary (Shane) Goudy, he was a 1978 graduate of Dalton High School and resident of Orrville for the past 13 years, previously of Dalton.  A member of New Pointe Community Church in Wooster, Jesse was a self-employed truck driver currently leased to Angerer – Miller Trucking, and had worked as head of maintenance for 17 years at OrrVilla.

For those of you who knew Jesse, you knew he was more than just a single spaced paragraph in a generic obituary. He was a man we all can aspire to be. He was that person you knew that you could call and he would be there in an instant to lend a hand. Jesse never met a stranger. The light that emanated from him when he entered a room remained long after he left. Jesse loved three things most in this world: his family, his wife and most importantly, his God.

Preceded in death by his step-father, Earl Neiss, he is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Deborah; son, Justin of IL; daughter, Jenna (Shane) Berry of Creston, OH; grandchildren, Jadon Weyrauch, and Easton Berry; brothers, Randy (Sandy) Goudy of Jeromesville, OH, Delvin (Sheryl) Goudy of Sterling, OH; sister, Brenda (Bob) Lake of Kannapolis, NC; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at New Pointe Community Church, 1741 Oak Hill Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 with Pastor Jonathan Woods, officiating. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service time on Tuesday, all at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Farm at Whispering Grace Horses, 12882 Kimmens Rd.
