DOYLESTOWN – John C. Herren, age 79, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2022.
Born on September 1, 1942 in Jefferson City, TN to the late John and Josephine (Cook) Herren, he was a resident of Doylestown and the Houston, Texas areas for many years. John was retired from Ohio Bell Telephone with many years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barberton. John loved to work with his hands, doing needlepoint, counted cross stitching and sewing.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janice who passed away on February 3, 2021, and his daughter in-law, Michelle Herren. John is survived by his sons, Rick Herren of Lubbock, TX and Chris Herren of North St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, John, Madelynn, Maddie, Jordan (Emily) Herren; sister, Barbara Como of CA; many other family members and dear friends.
Funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Pastor Mike Prebyski, officiating.
