Wadsworth – John H. Kendrick, age 91, passed away on January 22, 2022.
Born on November 1, 1930 in Pikeville, KY to the late William D. and Valeria L. (Harden) Kendrick. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He raised his family in Wadsworth since moving here in 1971. He retired from Ford Motor Company with 30 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Wadsworth Bottle Club and the Pleasant Valley Beagle Club. He was a collector of treasures and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and being in his garden.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis; five brothers and nine sisters. John is survived by his daughter, Marla Williams of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Jared (Karissa) Williams, Hillary Williams; great grandson, Drake; dog, Nicci; nieces, nephews, and family & friends.
Private services will be held by the family with military honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
