Josephine R. Tackett Hatton

BARBERTON – Josephine R. Tackett Hatton, age 88, passed away on November 4, 2025.

Born in Pike County, KY on August 5, 1937 to the late Alvin and Mary (Bowling) Rowe, she was a resident of Barberton since 2001, previously of Virgie, KY.  A devoted wife and mother, she raised her five sons and loved to spend time with them as they became adults and later with their families.  Josephine attended Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Norton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Hiram Tackett Sr.; second husband, Amos Hatton; sons, Hiram Tackett Jr. and Bennie E. Tackett; grandchildren, David Allen Tackett, and Kenny A. Tackett; great granddaughter, Haley; brothers, Harold Rowe, and Michael Little; sister, Lauvern Boyd; brother-in-law, Dale Jacobs, she is survived by her sons, Ricky (Becky) Tackett, Dick (Pam) Tackett all of Doylestown, Noble (April) Tackett of Barberton; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Louella (Mark) Livens, and Maddy Jacobs; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at which time a procession will form and move to Chestnut Hill Cemetery for a graveside committal.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
