RITTMAN- Joshua J. Perrera, age 32, passed away in a motorcycle accident on June 28, 2022.
Born on December 19, 1989, in Barberton, Josh was a lifelong resident of Rittman and graduated from Chippewa High School in 2008. He was employed by the J.M. Smucker Company and formally at Frito-Lay and Summit Racing. Josh was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Bn, 6th Mar 2d Mar Div from 2008-2012 stationed out of Camp Lejeune, served 2 combat tours in Afghanistan and a Purple Heart recipient. Josh loved spending time with his family, friends, being with Hailey and riding his motorcycle. Everyone who knew him has a good “Josh” story to tell, his smile and laugh will be missed every day.
Preceded in death in 2011 by his mother, Julie Perrera; grandparents, Dale and Delores Braucher, grandfather, Frank Perrera; he is survived by his father, Rob (Janice) Perrera of Doylestown; brother, Chris Perrera of Rittman, nephew, Bryson Perrera; grandmother, Audrey Perrera of Doylestown; love of his life for 4 years, Hailey Coles; aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and his Marine brothers; his loyal companion, Thunder.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH, 44273.
