Joyce M. Barnes

DOYLESTOWN – Joyce M. Barnes, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2026 and was reunited with her beloved husband Jim, and family.

Born on March 31, 1945 in Barberton, OH to the late Carl and Frances (Lepley) Bachman, she had been a life resident of the Doylestown area.  Joyce had worked at Barberton Citizens Hospital in the cafeteria and was a member of Grace Church, Norton Campus. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan who loved spending time with her family and at the ocean in Myrtle Beach. Everyone will remember her as the one person who could always make you feel special when you were around her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy J. “Jim” Barnes, a cherished grandson, Levi Johnson; brother, Elwin (Carol) Bachman, brothers-in-law, Brian Smith, Lawrence “Larry” Hagenbaugh.  She is survived by her children, Carla (Bruce) Johnson of Norton, Brian (Christine) Barnes of Medina; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Iva Smith of Petersburg, IN; brother-in-law, David K. Barnes of Newton Falls, OH; sister-in-law, Corrine Hagenbaugh of Doylestown; other family and friends.

A private graveside service with inurnment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery will be held by the family.  Memorials may be made to Grace Church, Norton Campus, 3970 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd., Norton, OH, 44203.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
