Joyce A. Rocker

DOYLESTOWN – Joyce A. Rocker, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2025.

Born in Cleveland, OH on August 4, 1947 to the late George L. and Nancy (Quinn) Sorensen, Joyce had been a resident of Doylestown for more than 40 years. She retired from Crandall Tax as an office manager and worked as a substitute bus driver for Chippewa Local Schools. Joyce enjoyed her time as a classroom aid at Hazel Harvey Elementary School, a band mother, Girl Scout leader, and advisor for the 4-H Doylestown Daisies in her younger days.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, George, Tommy, and David; sister, Susan; and nephew, Christopher. Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Rocker Sr.; son, Thomas (Leilani) Rocker Jr. of Marshallville; daughter, Anne Marie Johnston of Orrville; grandchildren, Brandon (Kelsey) Johnston and Shane (Megan) Johnston; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Paisley, and Maisey; brother, Stephen Sorensen; sisters, Jane (James) Fee, Cindy, and Kim; Dane Johnston; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Paul Lintern, officiating. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
