Karen J. Zuercher

BARBERTON – Karen J. Zuercher, age 78, passed away on April 17, 2025.

Born on July 9, 1946 in Mississippi to the late Donald and Edna M. (Nelson) Easterday Sr., she was a resident of Doylestown for the majority of her life.  Karen was a Registered Nurse and worked at several long-term facilities before transitioning to teaching at the Wayne County Schools Career Center.

She was lovingly referred to as Momo by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard V. “Dick” Zuercher; son, Brian S. Zuercher; sisters, Felicia (Chet) Benedum, Michele Barnes, Suzanne McNabb.  Karen is survived by her children, Laura Zuercher, Michael (Tammy) Zuercher, Ann (Gary) Hemminger; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Diane Easterday; brother, Donald Jr. (Kun Suk) Easterday; brother-in-law, Jim Barnes; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
