Katherine "Kathy" M. Hammons

BARBERTON – Katherine “Kathy” L. Hammons, age 85, passed away on December 21, 2020.

Born on September 3, 1935 in Barberton, OH to the late Charles and Helen (Lucas) Sungy, she was a life resident of Barberton.  Kathy retired from Sears after many years in the accounting department and was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and spend time with her sisters and friends at various casinos.

Preceded in death by her first husband Marcus Robinson, second husband, Jack Hammons; sons, Charles “Eddie” Robinson, Mark Robinson; daughter, Charlotte “Candee” Bowman; granddaughter, Jessica Robinson; sisters, Penny Villers, Mary Goehler, Nora (Richard) Cooper; niece, Dawn Nicole Sungy; brother-in-law, Bill Long, she is survived by her grandchildren, Tara Robinson of Cuyahoga Falls, Brandie (Michael) Kresowaty of Green, Markee Robinson, Chelsea Hilliard all of Canton, Dakota Robinson; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Long of Florida, Helen (Bruce) Steiner of Doylestown; brothers, Charles Jr. “Chuck” (Barbara) Sungy of Doylestown, Jay Sungy, Anthony Sungy both of Uniontown; brothers-in-law, Carl Goehler, Walter "Bud" Villers both of Doylestown; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 153 Church St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor Angela Lewis, officiating.
