Doylestown - Kathleen L. Shultz-Liston, age 84, passed away on January 29, 2023.
Born on November 13, 1938 in Queens, NY to the late William and Catherine (McKee) Jacobs, she had been a resident of Doylestown since 1955. Kathleen retired as a teacher for Chippewa Local Schools and previously Wadsworth City Schools after 37 years of service. A member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Retired Teachers of Wayne County, and Delta Kappa Gamma; Kathleen liked to sew, travel, decorate, read, and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William, and sister, Maureen. Kathleen leaves behind her husband of 35 years, David Liston; children, Dr. Michael (Tammy) Shultz, Susan (Steven) Roberts, Joan Shultz, and David Shultz; grandchildren, Jared (Kristen), Adam (Stephanie), Susan (Stephen), and Paul; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Maverick, Wyatt, Leni, Cash, Aven, and Sierra who will miss their “GiGi”; siblings, Thomas (Ann) Jacobs, Robert Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, Arline (Phil) Harris, and James (Kris) Jacobs; sister-in-law, Rosemary Jacobs; many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to Jenn Marshall and WellSpring Hospice for their care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chippewa Excellence in Education Foundation, 56 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230.
