Kenneth L. Jonas

DOYLESTOWN – Kenneth L. Jonas, age 95, passed away on May 15, 2025.

Born on December 26, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Herman and Irene (Maloney) Jonas, he was a resident of Doylestown for 1 ½ years, previously of Akron for 35 years.  After attending college at both UCLA and USC, Ken became an aerospace engineer and later retired from Hughes Aircraft.  A devout catholic, he was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown.  Ken was an H O Scale model train enthusiast and enjoyed backpacking and snow skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Jonas and Dick (Audrey) Jonas; sister-in-law, Judy Caine.  He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann; children, Jack Levy (Kim) of New Jersey, Mickey Levy (Liz) of New York, New York, Caroline Jonas (Ron) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; granddaughters, Julia, and Isabelle; great grandchildren, Flora, Rafi, Eliot, Leo; nieces Jeanine, Carlyn, Bari, and Cindy; many many nieces and nephews of Ann’s family; other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth and also the Cleveland Clinic, Justin T. Rodgers Hospice Center for their compassionate care of Ken.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris, Celebrant.  Burial to take place in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys Republic, 1097 Boys Republic Dr., Chino Hills, CA, 91709, Sts.
