DOYLESTOWN – Lawrence L. “Larry” Hagenbaugh, age 85, passed away on April 6, 2022.
Born on April 25, 1936 in Bath Twp. to the late Edward and Anna (McFarlin) Hagenbaugh, he was a resident of Doylestown since 1971. A veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Navy, Larry had retired from Strickland Trucking and had also worked for Yellow Freight as a truck driver for many years. A life member of the Doylestown American Legion Post 407, he attended Crossroads Community Church, enjoyed cutting and splitting wood, spending time in his garden, and was an avid reader.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Richard (Emma), Jack (Margaret), Michael, and Gerald; sisters, Marilyn (Blake) LeMaster, Joanne (Lawrence) Nace; brother in-law, Richard Barnes, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Corrine; daughters, Cheryl A. Friedt of Doylestown, Anna M. (Virgil) Steiner of Dalton; grandchildren, Shana and Joshua Friedt, Matthew and Amanda M. Steiner (Jacob Mishler); great granddaughter, Ava C. Friedt; brother, Harry (Eileen) Hagenbaugh of Ravenna; sister, Kay (James) Racco of Akron; sister-in-law, Midge Hagenbaugh of Wadsworth; brothers in-law, James (Joyce) Barnes of Doylestown, David Barnes (Tina Weintz) of Newton Falls, OH; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Private services with military honors and burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be held by the family. Memorials in honor of Larry may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
