Lela "Lee" A. Barat

DOYLESTOWN -Lela “Lee” A. Barat, age 90, passed away on September 20, 2022.

Born on December 30, 1931 in New Kensington, PA to the late Raymond and Katherine (Gloden) Tomblin, she was a resident of Doylestown since 1960.  A graduate of the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing as an RN, Lee retired from Brecksville V.A. Medical Center and was previously employed at Glendora Nursing Home in Wooster and Pleasant View Nursing Home in Barberton.  She was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church and accepted Christ when she was 14 years old. Lee was devoted to her family and loved to garden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Julius “Lark” Barat and sister, Doris Tomblin.  She is survived by her children, Dr. Guy (Melissa) Barat of Cleveland, TN, Deborah (Wade) Bright of Powell, OH, Scott Barat of Barberton, Sandra Barat of Doylestown; grandchildren, Brad Barat, Jill (Chris) Jenkins, Alex Barat, Kerby Bright; brother, Ray Tomblin of FL, Bill (Sandy) of GA; sister, Ruth Smith of FL.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230 with Rev. Dave Horner, officiating.  Private inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Justin T.
