Leonard C. Bennett

WADSWORTH – Leonard C. Bennett, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025.

Born on December 15, 1951 in Akron, OH to the late Donald and Rose M. (Lower) Bennett, he was a 1971 graduate of Doylestown High School and resident of Wadsworth since 2017, previously of Doylestown.  Leonard had worked at various places throughout his career generally doing maintenance.  He especially enjoyed his time working at the Diamond Grill in Akron.  He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 5506 in Orrville.  Leonard loved to watch Friday night football while cheering for Wadsworth and Doylestown.  Living in MENWA apartments in Wadsworth, he was active with the other residents and enjoyed helping to decorate the building for various holiday festivities.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant brother David Michael and brothers Robert and Gerald Bennett.  He leaves behind his siblings, Christine (Bruce) Anderson of Valley City, OH, Craig (Dora) Bennett of Barberton, Doug (Lori) Bennett of Wadsworth, Annette (Gerald) Calderwood of Akron, Donna (Randy) Jenkins of Marysville, OH, Lisa Bennett of Barberton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Fr. James Maloney, Celebrant.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Monday from 3-5 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
