DALTON – Logan L. Blacksten, age 51, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023 surrounded by family.
Born on June 28, 1972 in Massillon, OH, he was a lifelong resident of Dalton and graduate of Dalton High School. Logan started his career following his passion and became a rambunctious, young bull rider on the rodeo circuit for a few years. After working at several other jobs, he settled on owning his own, Oxbow Company, to build and do carpentry work for the past 20 years. He was a long-time member of AA and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and refurbishing his father’s classic Harley.
Preceded in death by his father, Gerald L. “Toad” Blacksten; sister, Michell R. Fields; niece, Mikayla, he is survived by his wife, Connie; mother, Nancy Blacksten of Dalton; nieces, Shana Fields, Candy “CC” Fields; nephew, David Fields; special longtime friend, Keith (Jacqui) Kula and their children Bethany and Logan, that also called him Uncle Logan; aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
