DOYLESTOWN – Martha A. McCuen, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Born on November 8, 1938 to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Herold) O’Brien, Martha was raised in Barberton, Ohio where she attended St. Augustine School. After graduating from St. Mary High School in Akron, Martha worked at Babcock and Wilcox, where she met her husband, Bill. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She enjoyed volunteering and helping with many church and school activities.
She was a wonderful, loving, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many, as she was always quick with a smile and a kind word or deed. Martha loved visiting her relatives and friends.
She is survived by her seven children: Michael (Megan) McCuen, Patrick (Tami) McCuen, Brian (Debbie) McCuen, Beth McCuen, Maria (Joey) Norman, Jennifer (Tony) Oliverio and Colleen (Scott) Fry; 18 grandchildren; and a great grandson; sisters, Dolores Rohr and Cecelia O’Brien; sister-in-law, Patricia O’Brien; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. McCuen; infant granddaughter, Kristen McCuen; brother, William O’Brien; sister, Amelia Rohr; and brothers-in-law, John Rohr and Clarence “Bud” Rohr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, with Fr. David McCarthy and Fr. Peter Morris, Con-Celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N.
