DOYLESTOWN – Martin L. Eckert, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2020.
Born on March 29,1945 in Utica, NY, he was a resident of Doylestown since 1983. Martin had been employed by Target and B & C Research and was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, and the Doylestown Lions Club. A great planner of family vacations, he was a life master at Bridge and loved the Cleveland Indians, attending many games.
Preceded in death by his father, Lewis Eckert; mother, Judy (See) Deutsch; brother, Dennis Eckert; sister, Cyndi White, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna; daughter, Wendy (Steven) Ames of Copley; son, Marty Eckert of Doylestown; grandchildren, Keely, Steven “Sam” and Nate; brother, Steven Eckert of Massillon; sister, Vikki Tucke of Massillon; sisters in-law, Connie (Dennis) Clifford, Cindy (Bill) Bail; brother in-law, Ira Lepley; many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A memorial service, following Covid-19 guidelines requiring social distancing and masks, will be held on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Doylestown United Methodist Church, 153 Church St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Pastor Angela Lewis, officiating.
