DOYLESTOWN – Mary Alice Springer, age 94, passed away on February 1, 2021.
Born on May 28, 1926 in Buffalo, NY to the late Edward P. and Frances (Schneggenburger) Kogler, she was a resident of Averill Park, NY for the past 15 years, previously of Doylestown since 1975. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she was a past president of the Altar Society and was on the National Council for Catholic Women. Mary Alice enjoyed volunteering at the Doylestown Health Care Center.
Moving to Averill Park, NY to be with family in 2005, she greatly enjoyed spending time with and caring for her great niece’s children: Emma, Nathan & Abigail Harriman.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Springer Jr. in 2007; sisters, Norma Trabert, Grace Vurmeier; brothers, Albert, Edwin, and Robert “Bobbie” Kogler, she is survived by nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, and a great-great-great niece.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH, 44230 with Pastor, David McCarthy, Celebrant. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials in honor of Mary Alice may be made to Sts.
