DOYLESTOWN – Mary Lou Ault, age 99, passed away on August 20, 2023.
Born on September 18, 1923 in Doylestown to the late John Augustus and Charlotte (Dannemiller) Deibel, Mary Lou was a graduate of Doylestown High School. A lifelong resident of Doylestown, she had been a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Doylestown Garden Club. She enjoyed playing cards, painting, traveling with her husband, Chuck, and being part of the many family gatherings that were held at her home. Mom was never known to pass up a piece of chocolate.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ault; son, Joseph Ault; great-grandson, Michael; brothers, Joseph and Edward Deibel; and sisters, Gertrude Trostle, Katherine McKinney-Davis, and Ruth Wiant-Over. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Charles (Linda) Ault and Christine (Daniel) McAnallen; daughter-in-law, Terri (Paul) Gadosik; grandchildren, Kimberly (Patrick) Bryant, Vivien Ault, Veronica (Iain) Andrews, Rachael (Andre) DeFrancis, Natalie Ault, Joseph Ault Jr., Ryan Ault, Lindsay (Will) Chappell, Daniel McAnallen Jr., Thomas McAnallen, and David McAnallen (Christina Garcia); great-grandchildren, Avery and Cooper Bryant, Jacob, Sylvester, Steven, and Rosemarie Ault, Hope and Vyla Chappell, Dallas and Ryder Ault, Annabel and Charlie Andrews, and Gio and Elio DeFrancis; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Douglas Wenger and the Gilcrest Center for all of their compassionate care, and most of all, Mary Lou’s grandson Tommy, for his love and devotion which enabled her to remain at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230 with Fr. Peter Morris officiating. Burial to take place at church cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH 44230. Memorials may be made to Sts.
