Matthew L. Brown

DOYLESTOWN – Matthew L. Brown, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2023.

Born on December 16, 1970 in Orrville, OH to the late James L. and Sheila E. (Hemming) Brown, Matt was a graduate of Chippewa High School. A life resident of the Doylestown and Barberton areas, Matt was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and he worked as a mechanic for many years at Green Automotive. He loved to golf and enjoyed being a part of the golf league at Loyal Oak Golf Course. Matt loved playing softball, coaching his son Luke, and watching his kids play sports.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Michael Brown. Matt is survived by his children, Ashley Brown of Charleston, SC, and Luke Brown and their mother, Laurie Porter both of Doylestown; sister, Melissa S. (Mike) Garcea of Doylestown; sister-in-law, Mari Jane Daniel-Brown of Doylestown; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 12 p.m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home,132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH with Fr. Peter Morris, officiating.  Inurnment will be held at Chestnut Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.  Online obituary and guest registry are available at www.zakmonbarrenfh.com
