Michael K. Jelus

Michael K. Jelus, age 68, passed away on October 25, 2025.

Born on November 26, 1956 in Barberton to the late John Sr. and Elisabeth (Wollny) Jelus, he was a graduate of Chippewa High School and veteran of the U.S. Army.  A resident of Doylestown since 1972, Mike retired from Cuyahoga Valley Career Centers as a building and grounds supervisor and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on their yearly vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl; brother, Tim Jelus; mother-in-law, Eileen Smith.  He leaves behind his children, Melissa (Eric) Sands of North Ridgeville, Jeremy (Kelly) Jelus of Richboro, PA; grandgirls, Julia Jelus, Amelia Jelus, Kailee Sands; siblings, Barbara Moore of Doylestown, John (Judy) Jelus of Wooster; sisters-in-law, Kim Jelus, Sharon (Dave) Dargan; good friends, Cindy and Denny Hicks; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
