Paul was a lifetime member of the Barberton VFW #1066. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, wood crafting, and most of all spending time with his family. His family said he had a very unique sense of humor. After retiring, Paul spent his winters in Florida and loved going on road trips including going to Nova Scotia and traveling Route 66.

Preceded in death by his parents, Paul is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathryn Nitz; children, Mary Alice (Jim) Rogers of Hartville, Paul Nitz of Tallahassee, FL, Mallory (Dustin) Goldson of Hartville, and Alyson (Michael) Lukats of Barberton; grandchildren, Logan, Luke, London, and Wyatt Rogers, Noelle (Dylan) Puterbaugh, Landry, Grayson, Blakelynn, and Weston Goldston, and Cora Lukats; sisters, Billie Jean Cuppett of Akron, Judy (Bill) McDermot of Cuyahoga Falls, and Janet Nitz of Cuyahoga Falls; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Paul leaves behind his golf buddies and best friend, Jim Yoder, whom he met in Vietnam, later became his best man at his wedding, and then worked with him at B&W for 45 years.
