Penny L. Sundberg

BARBERTON – Penny L. Sundberg, age 81, passed away on February 10, 2023.

Born on September 25, 1941 in Barberton to the late Kenneth and Cora (Dawson) Malone, she was a resident of Barberton, previously of Clinton and Canal Fulton.  Penny was employed by Myers Industries in Akron for many years and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Her passion for many years was serving as a volunteer at Summa Barberton Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sig Sundberg in 2014; brother, Dale Malone; brothers in law, Nils Sundberg, and Nicholas Pandrea.  She is survived by her sisters in law, Adrienne Pandrea, and Ruth Ann Sundberg; 2 nieces, 4 nephews, other family and friends.

Penny will be recognized in the 8 a.m. daily mass as Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Monday, May 1, 2023.  A private inurnment will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
