R. Kevin Hunsicker

BARBERTON – R. Kevin Hunsicker, age 68, passed away on October 15, 2024.

Born on September 22, 1956 in Wadsworth, OH to the late Richard C. and Gloria (Booth) Hunsicker, Kevin split his residency between Barberton, OH and Ft. Myers, FL for the last several years.  A graduate of Copley High School, he retired from Curtiss-Wright Corporation as a Business Systems Director with 43 ½ years of service.  Besides his family, Kevin’s passion in life was food.  He was a true foodie in every sense of the word. In his down time, you could find him researching new recipes, as well as each ingredient and piece of equipment needed to replicate even the smallest of details. When he wasn’t cooking for his loved ones, he was scouring restaurant websites searching for the perfect meal to end the day. He loved spending time and sharing his culinary delights with his family and friends, especially Duane and Amy Matheson.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, Kim; daughters, Kasey (Chris) Rings, Krystal (Travis) Reynolds, Kylene (Jeremy) Carpenter; grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe Reynolds, Tyler and Lily Carpenter; brothers, Jay (Kelly) Hunsicker, Gene Hunsicker; sisters, Renee (Jim) Miller, Tracy Royer (Oz); nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He also leaves behind his cherished dogs, Kati and Kipper.

A celebration of life for Kevin will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Lala’s in the Lakes, 4315 Manchester Road, New Franklin OH 44319.  Eulogy will take place at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Justin T.
