DOYLESTOWN – Ralph J. Singleton Jr., age 84, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2021.
He was born on February 7, 1937 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to the late Ralph J. and Hazel (Stump) Singleton. Growing up in Akron, he was a resident of Doylestown for over 30 years previously of the Rittman/Wadsworth area. Ralph retired from Reiter Dairy after many years as a plant operator and was a member of Barberton Moose Lodge #759. He was a horse racing enthusiast and owner who enjoyed racing at Mahoning and Thistledown and more recently Mountaineer.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Woodrow, Richard and Charles Singleton; sister, Barbara Anderson; he is survived by his children, Ralph (Susan) Singleton, Brenda Muczynski all of Wadsworth, Russell (Beverly) Singleton of Newcomerstown, Joyce (John) Lang of Wadsworth, John (Susan) Singleton of Akron; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; best friend of 20 years, Jerrie Whitehead of Doylestown; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
