SEVILLE – Robert J. Bohn finished his earthly journey on September 14, 2023 after a long and painful struggle with health issues.
He was born September 6, 1959 to Sara (Spradlin) and Carl Bohn Jr. in Akron, OH. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 15 and graduated from Norton High School and the University of Akron with a degree in Electronics Technology. He married Barbara Sapp on October 9, 1982 who survives in addition to his daughter, Grace (Patrick) Beargie and their daughter, Amelia; son, Thomas; father, Carl Jr.; sister, Sara Sharp as well as many cherished friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sara.
He pursued a career in medical imaging, specializing in the modality of nuclear medicine for 35 years, finishing his career working with a great team at Aultman Hospital in the Clinical Engineering Department. Robert also served his community, first as the Disaster Action Team Leader for the Medina County Chapter of the American Red Cross and later as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the Seville-Guilford Fire Department. He enjoyed Amateur Radio (W8IJG), target shooting, camping, restoring old radios and just putzing in his shop. He was a proud member of Moose Lodge #1224 in Creston.
Per Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Diamond Match Party Center, 8 Fourth St. N.W., Barberton, OH, 44203. In his memory, Bob wants everyone who knew him to go out and perform random acts of kindness and acts of senseless beauty. Memorials may be made to the Medina County SPCA.
