CANAL FULTON – Robert L. “Bob” Peters, age 70, passed away on March 18, 2025.
Born on May 12, 1954 in Massillon, OH to the late Richard and Dorothy (Mattox) Peters, Bob was a resident of Canal Fulton since 1981. He retired from Republic Steel for 30 years as a millwright when it closed. In his younger years, he was employed by A.R.E. in Wilmot. Bob had a passion for old cars restoring a 1949 Chevy and painting it yellow (his mom’s favorite color). He also played the guitar and banjo and enjoyed playing music of all kinds with his family and friends. He was a big Moody Blues fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Anna F.; children, Angela R. (Terry) Baus of Navarre, Robert L. Peters Jr. of Massillon; grandchildren, Aaron (Leeann) Baus, Amanda (Tyler) Lay, Cheyanne Baus, Emily Baus; great grandchildren Wyatt, Nicholas, and Harper; brothers, Rick (Deb) Peters of Marshallville, Ronnie (Cindy) Peters of Massillon; sister, Rhonda (John) Henderson of Massillon; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St, Dalton, OH, 44618 with Pastor Rod Grabski, officiating.
