Robert (Bob) C. Hajek

Marshallville – Robert C. Hajek, age 75 of Marshallville, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 8, 1949 to the late Stephen J. and Stella M. (nee, Gavinesky) Hajek, Bob was a lifelong resident of Wayne County. He was a dedicated employee in the dental field, where he continued pursuing that love even after retiring in 2021. He had many passions in life, from farming, to cooking, to just tinkering with anything he could find. There wasn’t anything Bob couldn’t fix. In any type of weather, he could be found outside working around the house or just enjoying the serene atmosphere he built. Bob was known for his strength, determination, and larger than life presence.  He formed many lasting friendships that touched many lives.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Hajek and sister, Carol Hajek. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Renee; son, Heath (Becky), daughter, Brittany; grandchildren, Beckett, Hudson, Hannah, Jaylyn and Morgan; sister, Shirley (Denny) Toth, as well as a host of special relatives and friends.

Bob’s infectious energy for life was abundant, and he was a friend to everyone he met. You could always count on him to help you or be there whenever you needed a helping hand. He loved his family and loved being “pop-pop”. Those who knew Bob will remember him for his joyful spirit and kind heart, he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
