BARBERTON – Robert A. “Rob” Ross, age 64, passed away on April 9, 2020.
Born on September 4, 1955 in Akron to the late Lester and Roberta (Jackson) Ross, he was a life resident of the Kenmore/Norton/Barberton area. Rob retired from Viox after many years and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He had a love for music, playing bass guitar and harmonica in 3 bands over many years. He also enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, and deer hunting with his bow.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Lou Foster and brother in-law, Ray Holderbaum. Rob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria; daughter, Emily Young of Barberton; twins, Michael Perry of Norton and Michelle Banks (fiancé, Brett Jackson) of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Sydney and Nash Young, Logan, Greyson and Olivia Perry, Jace Banks; sisters, Pam (Lou) Foster of Barberton, Leslie Christy of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Dave (Kim) Ross of Barberton, Michael (Laura) Ross of Norton; nieces, nephews, other loving family and many dear friends.
A private graveside service will be held by the family at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Due to the current health crisis, the family will be having a memorial mass and gathering to celebrate his life at a later date. Memorials in honor of Rob may be made to Sts.
