DOYLESTOWN- Ronald D. Fulton, age 85, passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 26, 2026.
Born on October 28, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Malcolm and Marguerite (Wallace) Fulton. He was a graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School, class of 1958. He went on to proudly serve in the US Army from 1959 to 1962. He married Frances E. Fulton in 1966 and they resided together in Doylestown, Ohio, since 1973.
Ronnie retired from Teamsters Local 419 working for companies such as Higbee’s, UPS and Pepsi. In his later years, he was the owner of Green and Plaid (G&P) Hardwood Products where he was a hardwood flooring distributor.
He was a member of the Wadsworth American Legion Post 170, the American Legion Firestone Memorial Post 449, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manchester, and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Akron. He volunteered at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where he proudly led as a Captain of the Military Honors Team.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mary “Shirley” Fulton, and Linda (Larry) Shushok. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Frances; son, Daniel (Amy) Fulton of Doylestown; daughter Bridget Williams of Cranberry, PA; and five grandchildren; Thomas Mautz, Joseph Mautz, Claire Williams, Callum Williams, Margaret Fulton; other family and many friends.
Ronnie was the treasured Patriarch of the family that kept everyone connected, and could be relied on for ancestorial history, with the best stories to share.
He and Fran traveled the world together making friends along the way, he never met a stranger. During their adventures he loved to dive into the local culture, and people, creating lasting travel memories.
He guided, led by example, and humbly taught his children and grandchildren many life lessons to treasure for a lifetime. He was always there to share words of wisdom and offered valuable advice with love and attention.
Ronnie never missed a St. Patty’s Day celebration, whether watching a Cleveland parade, or with his Irish Akron family at the Hibernian club.
We will always have the memory of finding him in a room with his tall personality and his unforgettable big laugh.
A celebration of life for Ronnie will be held on Sunday February 15, 2026, at The Galaxy Restaurant, 201 Park Center Dr., Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 from 2-7p.m. Inurnment with military honors will be held later at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Ronnie was deeply engaged in experiencing the natural beauty outdoors. He often walked with nature, appreciating all species of trees and the animal’s dependent in the forest.
