Ross W. Mollohan, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 22, 1955, in Seattle, WA, to the late Ross L. and Alice (Westerlund) Mollohan, Ross was a lifelong resident of Doylestown and a 1974 graduate of Chippewa High School. He spent more than 45 years as a chemical/hazardous materials truck driver and often said how much he enjoyed and took pride in his work. Over the course of his career, he drove for several companies, retiring from Suez after many dedicated years of service.
Ross loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors, but his greatest joy came from being a devoted girl dad to his two beloved daughters and supporting his grandchildren in all their activities. He cherished traveling and spending time with his wife, Rebecca, especially while riding together on their Harley-Davidson. Ross was also a passionate fan of the Cleveland Guardians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rebecca; daughters, Erika (Mark) Earnest of Doylestown and Elizabeth (Tony) Dolence of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Gavin Earnest, and Jocelyn and Kaleb Dolence; brothers, Russell (Kim), Brian (Lynn), and Jeff (Kim) Mollohan. Ross deeply loved and was loved by many sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Akron City Hospital ICU team on the Heart and Lung Unit, specifically Dr. Nguyen and his nurse, Mackenzie. A private service will be held by the family. Memorials in Ross’s honor may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, the MS Society, or the American Diabetes Association.
